Christmas Shopping in Dublin

Henry Street is one of Dublin’s most popular shopping districts and at Christmas time it is an experience not to be missed. At Maldron Hotel Parnell Square, you will be only a short walk away from the hustle and bustle, the festive Christmas fun and Christmas markets. You can even see Santa Clause himself at his Grotto in Arnott’s Department Store, Ireland’s oldest and largest department store which opened its doors in 1843.

Take a stroll down Grafton Street, one of Dublin’s most prominent shopping districts and one of the busiest pedestrianized streets in Europe. Admire the iconic Christmas window displays in department stores, listen to the buskers and warm up with a cup of tea in the famous Bewley’s Café afterwards.

Just off of Grafton Street, at the Mansion House on Dawson Street each year there is a live crib, the animals are brought to the crib each morning and return to their farms every evening.

The Panto

The Panto is a Christmas tradition amongst the Irish and it is an experience definitely not to be missed. With a variety of Pantos to choose from each year, which are suitable for all ages, you’ll be falling off your seats laughing.
