St Patrick’s Festival

St Patrick’s Festival is celebrated in every corner of the world and is the biggest festival that takes place in Ireland each year. A national holiday that is celebrated in more countries around the world than any other, St. Patrick’s Day is the day when everyone wants to be Irish.

This years festival in Dublin takes place from Thursday March 17th–Sunday March 20th, with a host of activities taking place over the four days. A spectacular parade through Dublin city is the core of the celebrations, with some of Ireland’s and Europe’s brightest street performers and some of the world’s loudest pyrotechnics taking part on the day.

There will be plenty of fun for the family with funfairs taking place at Merrion Square, Custom House Quay and George’s Dock over the four days. Other events include walking and cycling tours of the city, concerts, exhibitions, street theatre, amazing firework displays and nightly entertainment. An Irish craft beer and whiskey village will also be running in the RDS, offering Irish whiskey, cider, craft beer and artisan food to visitors. In line with the celebrations, Dublin city will be turning green – all the main famous and iconic buildings will be turning green to celebrate St. Patrick.
